New Hopes New Dreams for A Bright & Promising Future

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

By the time you read this column the hoopla surrounding the Inauguration of our 44th President will have settled down. The pomp and circumstance as well as all the festivities were done with grace, excitement, in true American style. To watch the joy, and hope on the faces of so many, and hear the wonderful accolades from all the commentaries by the media were uplifting. We all watched history unfold right before our eyes, and it was hard not to feel all the new hopes and new dreams for a bright and promising future. The whole election process divided the country and now to feel the unity brought together with the strength of a new President made you feel extra proud to be an American. We have all suffered with this downtrodden economy in some way or another. No one has been shielded completely. For some it has taken its toll in jobs, others investments, and for many jeopardy in losing their homes and/or their value. What we all held with such assumed expectation, we soon realized was shaky and risky. Living life day to day becomes quite stressful and it makes it hard to move through the motions of each and every day. But this is the time to gather your strength and regroup. Make concrete plans for 2009 that will help you move to a more secure place in your life. Straightforward, Honest and Ethical One Standard Only

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

In life we have varying degrees when it comes to many areas. There are degrees of love, religious observance, and the most obvious, temperature. Certain premises should not be measured by degrees and these most certainly are being honest, ethical, and straightforward. Let’s face it you are either honest or not. The fact that you can justify what you did or did not do does absolutely NOT measure your honesty. The same is true with standards of ethics and being straightforward. There are NO degrees of measurement. You either follow the standard of being an ethical person and are straightforward in you practices of business or you are NOT. Many traits we all possess have gray areas and that is what makes up strong and weak characteristics. But you cannot claim to be an honest person when it comes to some things and not with others. If business was conducted in a more honest, ethical and straightforward manner we would all know how we stand. Deception and trust would no longer be issues to deal with. Say what you mean and not what you think the other party wants to hear, follow through with your promises and commitments, and treat each other not just fairly, but ethically as well. The financial world would be in far less turmoil at this point if the parties involved all did what they SAID they would. Stop hiding behind emails, left answering messages, and blaming everyone else for you situations. Back up your words with real actions and not false impressions. We have been in business for as long as we have, not because of such great financial success, but because our standards will not be compromised. There are no degrees of honesty and ethics at Koslovsky Realty. With a straightforward approach and actions to back them up, we conduct our business practices on all levels the same way. There should be an expectation that everyone does the same. Life would be easier and work would be less stressful. Try it. We promise.

Once Again We Begin Another Year

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

Eleven days have already passed since we toasted the New Year 2009. One third of the new month of the year is already over. Days start out over and over again, and with the blink of an eye another 24 hour period of time passes us by. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day activities that we forget to stop and ask ourselves “Are we having fun yet?” With all the necessary and unnecessary stuff we fi ll our days with, we need to make sure to take the time to remember that this is supposed to be “fun.” I don’t mean the time you set aside to go on vacation when you are purposely away from your everyday life. That is obvious, and already set up for the fun factor. No I am talking about your everyday life and all the pieces that go with it. The “fun factor” is what gets you through it all. There must be a smile, a laugh, conversation with friends and co-workers, and kind gestures that fill each and every one of your days. How sad to just feel you are just going through the motions and not feeling all life has to offer. How sad? Fill your days with everything that makes you happy. Make every aspect of your life a new adventure and be excited about even the simplest task. Make yourself your new best friend enjoying even those moments you are alone. No one will deny that we all have the “stuff” to deal with each and every day. That’s life. But how you deal with it and turn it to suit you and your attitude is what it’s all about. Our lives go by much too quickly. Much shorter for some than for others. Grab hold and go for a great ride. Make it fun and exciting while you incorporate the chores of your life. Let the real estate market be one of the places you decide to have fun. You might realize you were missing something all along. A lot to choose from and many great deals along the way. Have a good time and see what might be out there for you. Nothing to lose and everything to gain. We’re off to a new start with a new year and lots to show you. Call us NOW so we can help you with all your real estate needs.. It will be fun for all.
